Safety tips

Most people on KURDlink are honest, but scammers exist on every website. These tips help you stay safe.

Buying

• Meet in a busy public place, in daylight, and take someone with you if you can
• Check the item properly before you pay
• Never pay in advance for something you haven't seen, and never pay by gift card, crypto or money transfer services
• For cars, check the MOT history and HPI, and see the V5C logbook

Selling

• Don't hand over the item until you have the money
• Be careful of "overpayments" or fake payment emails
• Never share bank login details or codes sent to your phone

Jobs

• A real employer will never ask you to pay to get a job
• Don't share your passport or bank details until you've met and the job is confirmed

Messages

• Keep chats on KURDlink, so we can help if something goes wrong
• Be careful of links to other websites
